Completed my first proper commission as a paid animator wohoo!!! With Moira Lam, Zach Ellams and Tim O'Leary we were asked to make a light painted promotional animation for Firefly Festival. We got the opportunity to meet the people who are running the event and look round the site and it looks so beautiful and think it's going to be really great! set walk test

here is a little animated test i did of my character within my set (but without giving her a face). i'm not entirely happy with the lighting cause she fades into the background too much. at my crit today the tutors were discussing about maybe using a white line like i have on my animatic (which isn't on here...)

for my fmp i think that i'm going to have my main girl character as cut out paper so this was a little test i did this morning (without using a lightbox or any kind of animation program to see where the previous frame was) using 3 images to see how impossible it was. overall a SUCCESS.

today is the crit of an animation i have been working on with zach ellams, tim o'leary & moira lam since september, on a project that's been running since june. feels weird that half my year is now over! it's been so much fun though! we've got to make some final alterations and present to random house publishing next week, but for now here's some shots from the final animation
